PREREQUISITE: JAPAN 312; EITHER JAPAN 343 OR JAPAN 440. HYBRID COURSE. Catalog Description:
Methodology and theory of sociolinguistic analysis. Reading of research literature and training in analysis of Japanese language data. Prerequisite: either JAPAN 303, JAPAN 313, JAPAN 334, or JAPAN 345, which may be taken concurrently; and either CHIN 342, ASIAN 401, JAPAN 343, JAPAN 344, JAPAN 441, any 200-level LING course, or any 300-level LING course.
