Syllabus Description:

Spring 2018's Japan 533 course will be co-taught by Professor Ko Youngran (高 榮蘭) of Nihon University.

The content of the course has yet to be determined, but will involve significant quantities of reading in, and will involve class meetings conducted in, Japanese. As a result, enrollment in the class requires advanced permission (in the form of an add code) from Professor Mack.

While primarily a seminar for graduate students in Japanese literature, the course is open to undergraduates and graduates in other fields, if they possess the necessary skills.

Rapid reading of modern literary and critical texts. Prerequisite: permission of instructor.
