Catalog Description:
Introduction to the standard language. Emphasis on learning correct pronunciation and basic structure. Drill in oral use of the language. Open only to students who do not have any previous training in Chinese. First in a sequence of three. Maximum 10 credits allowed between CHIN 101; CHIN 102; and CHIN 121 (or equivalents). Maximum 15 credits allowed between CHIN 101; CHIN 102; CHIN 103; CHIN 121; and CHIN 134 (or equivalents). Maximum 20 credits allowed between CHIN 101; CHIN 102; CHIN 103; CHIN 201; and CHIN 138 (or equivalents). Course equivalent to: B CHIN 101 and TCHIN 101. Course overlaps with: CHIN 111. Offered: A.
