On Saturday, April 22, Asian L&L Prof. EunYoung Won joined the UW School of Music, the Center for Korea Studies, and the East Asia Center in sponsoring "Korean Music Language Workshop: Learn Korean through K-Pop and More!" in Gowen 201.
UW Doctor of Musical Arts candidate and voice instructor Eun Ju Vivianna Oh led over 65 students in this two hour event, and they all had great fun learning Korean through the catchy tunes of K-Pop, the dramatic performances of musicals, and the beautiful arias of K-Opera.
One of the student participants wrote:
"I had a really fun and wonderful time! It was fun to connect my language learning to my enjoyment of music."
