Asian L&L Language Students Win Japanese Speech and Skit Awards

"The annual Washington State Speech and Skit Contest provides Japanese learners of all levels with the opportunity to compete with like-minded, skilled, and passionate students (high school division and college division) from all across Washington State. The Speech and Skit contest is held in early spring by the Hyogo Business and Cultural Center, Consulate General of Japan in Seattle, Washington Japan-America Society, and Washington Association for Teachers of Japanese." Speech Competition (College Division) Level 2

  • 1st Place:  Mackenzie Snow 「私の一番好きな活動」 “My favorite Activity”
  • 2nd Place:  Chen-Hsuan Hsu「私の日本語勉強する理由」 “My reasons for studying Japanese”

Skit Contest

  • Best story:  Ava Aflatooni, Brianna Bonds, Paul Zhang, Rei Zhu 「ロールプレイング・ゲーム」 “Role-playing game”

We hope that their hard work and success will encourage even more students of Japanese at all levels to participate in this event next year.
