Biography

Luoth Yin has been teaching the Khmer language at the University of Washington since 2011. He holds an M.A. in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University, which he earned in 2017, a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from Ashford University, obtained in 2012, and a B.A. in Political Science from Seattle University, awarded in 1986. Luoth is also a published poet and writer, with a portfolio of works in the Khmer language, including 'Land of Tears' (1998), 'Drifting Clouds' (2005), 'Deep Wistfulness' (2005), 'The Heart’s Legacy' (2006), 'Lives in this World' (2008), and 'Drizzling Rain' (2008).

Prior to his teaching career, Luoth served in various roles for the Cambodian government, USAID, and Asian Counselling and Referral Services.
