Jie Wu, who earned her doctorate from the UW in 2008, received early tenure and was promoted to the rank of associate professor in Chinese in the Department of Modern Languages at Murray State University. Dr. Wu also established a Chinese Studies minor at the university. There, her research interests include traditional Chinese literary and cultural history.
