Everyone is welcome to attend our Sakura-kai beneath the blooming cherry blossom trees of the Quad on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 12:30pm to 1:20pm. Enjoy the cherry blossoms and see a Japanese calligraphy demonstration by local calligrapher, Shizu Usami, a tea ceremony demonstration by members of the Urasenke School, and listen to an explanation of Japanese Waka poetry by Professor Paul Atkins.

In the event of rain, we will meet in the 2M Seminar Room of the East Asia Library, located on the third floor of Gowen Hall.

We look forward to enjoying the cherry blossoms with you!
