Chinese Bridge – Chinese Proficiency Competition for College Students

The Chinese Bridge – Chinese Proficiency Competition for College Students is an annual event organized by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) in China. Over the past 16 years, the Chinese Bridge has become a platform for college students from all over the world to learn Chinese and understand China. The competition includes preliminary, regional, semi-final and final contests, with the preliminary competition organized by Confucius Institutes worldwide. All registered non-native Chinese college students are eligible to participate. Contestants enter to compete in three categories: Chinese language skills, knowledge about China and Chinese cultural skills. Winners of the regional competitions will be sponsored to compete in the semi-final and final in China, interact with young people from different cultures and explore Chinese culture through a variety of organized activities. Final winners will receive awards and scholarships to study in China.
