Lunar New Year Festival

Saturday, February 21, 2015 - 11:00am to 4:00pm
Meet Outside the Burke Museum Cafe

The Lunar New Year Celebration is the most important festivity in the Chinese Lunar Calendar and brings thousands of families to participate in authentic cultural activities featuring coloring contest, face painting & balloons, calligraphy drawing, origami, temporary tattoos, and games and activities throughout the District. There is nonstop entertainment throughout the day including Lion and Dragon dances, Taiko drumming, martial arts and our fifth annual Children’s Parade Contest where kiddies can strut their best New Year’s cultural outfit on stage! This is a unique cultural experience that only takes place once a year in the Seattle Chinatown-International District!
