Every year thousands of North Koreans make the dangerous journey across the border to escape oppression and poverty. In March of 2005, Danny was one of them. Danny crossed into China and escaped a life of indoctrination, routine public executions, and starvation. As Danny traveled, he saw a world he never knew existed. A world where movement was not monitored by the government, information was readily available, and most importantly at the time, there was enough food to fill his empty belly.
We invite you to join us as we tour Danny’s journey around North America. You have the unique opportunity to be one of the first to see his documentary, “Danny from North Korea,” by coming to the screening on March 7th at 6:30 pm in Thomson Hall, room 125. Spots are limited, so don’t delay!
Event sponsored by: Liberty in North Korea, University of Washington Rescue Team (LiNK).
*LiNK at UW aims to raise awareness on the North Korean crisis throughout the UW campus while raising funds to help rescue North Korean refugees hiding in China.
