Catalog Description: 
Focuses on how Japanese is acquired or learned by non-native speakers in North America and Japan. Includes study of how Japanese is learned in both naturalistic settings such as study abroad and in foreign language classrooms. Prerequisite: either JAPAN 311, JAPAN 312, JAPAN 313, any of which may be taken concurrently, JAPAN 334, JAPAN 345, JAPAN 421, JAPAN 422, JAPAN 423, JAPAN 431, JAPAN 432, JAPAN 433, or JAPAN 445.
