Current UW Students

If are already a student at the UW, simply click on the “Apply Now” button above. There is no deadline for applying, however, the sooner you apply, the faster we are able to integrate you into the Flagship Program and provide scholarship support and advising. The online application includes contact information, demographic and academic information, student activities, and work and volunteer experience; statement of purpose and information for two references.

It is highly recommended that students prepare the following before starting the application:

  • Statement of purpose: A written essay (in English) of 500 words describing students' activities that have helped shaping students' current Chinese skills, academic plans, and how the Flagship Program can help students' achieve their career goals;
  • Information of two referees: Students should invite two referees to provide recommendations. At least one of the letters should be from a Chinese instructor. No recommendation letters are required at this point. The program will contact the referees to solicit their input.
